Tahoe was found after being abandoned in rural Tennessee.
According to Reddit user WachYourBac, the ASPCA picked up the 4-month-old chocolate lab mix. He had a severe case of mange and separation anxiety. “Hershey,” as he was known at the shelter, couldn’t be alone for more than five minutes.
He was so scared when he was at the shelter…
And even after a couple adopted him, this little guy was nervous on the ride home.
Renamed “Tahoe,” the mangey pup soon relaxed at his new forever home.
Soon, Tahoe was happy as can be!
The life on the streets was quickly behind him.
He even made some new furry friends.
And he wasn’t afraid to give his honest opinion of mom’s work.
Tahoe even got a chance to model collars and leashes for Free People.
Looking good, Tahoe!
It’s amazing what some love, training, and patience can do for a dog in need.
He’s now an amazing and forever part of the family, with his lonely life as a stray far behind him. If you’d like to adopt a dog in need yourself, visit the ASPCA website to find a shelter.
