Burning Man is an art festival and temporary community held annually in Nevada’s Black Rock Desert, and is attended by some 70,000 people each year. With such an attendance and a focus on the arts, the festival has been extensively documented in photos and video. 

This year’s fest, though, saw a newcomer to the documentation scene: the drone. 



These unmanned aircraft can fly high over the festival, capturing breathtaking views of the festival, from its crowds to the geometric layout of its structures and its large-scale sculptures. Pilot and cinematographer Eric Cheng brought his DJI Phantom 2 quadcopter this year, and we’re glad he did. Check out the stunning video below for a bird’s eye view of this unique festival.
