A diver was in the Caribbean sea near the Cayman Islands when he faced an unimaginable scenario: a shark. Not only that, but a shark ATTACK. Thanks to Jaws and the media’s fascination with shark attacks a few years ago, it’s a pretty common fear even though it’s very unlikely to happen. Unfortunately for this man, it happened. The video is at the bottom of this article.
Jason was culling lion fish close to the Cayman Islands.
Suddenly, a shark came charging at him from out of nowhere.
Fortunately, he had a tool in his possession to deter the shark from doing serious damage.
The video, posted below, is the worst nightmare of many.
Check out the full video here: [youtube id=”MuJmrv_KF24″ width=”600″ height=”340″ position=”left”] Jason added, “I want to make it clear that I am hunting lion fish to help protect the reef from the destruction that they cause. The shark was acting in his natural environment. I have no ill will toward him and will get back in the water and continue to protect the reef for future generations. I would strongly encourage anyone out there to donate to REEF.org or other organizations to help protect our reefs.” While being attacked by a shark is probably not going to happen, seeing that video ensures I’ll be staying out of the water for a while. Share this frightening encounter with others below. Why should they go in the water without fear? 😉
