I find my fish tank to be a calming presence in a room, but sometimes I wonder if my fish are as calm as I am. It must be boring swimming inside the same four walls day in and day out. Perhaps that’s why Redditor waterking designed this gravity-defying “fish bridge,” which allows his scaly friends to effectively swim above the natural water level. It sounds fishy, I know, but trust me, it’s so cool!
See that tower above the fish tank? Waterking calls it a fish bridge.
After attaching a separate acrylic compartment, he removed the air from it. The water rises into it as if it was part of the tank…only higher!
It also gives his fake plant a little more breathing room.
This isn’t sorcery, I promise. It’s actually a pretty simple process. Here’s YouTuber NightHawkInLight showing you how it’s done.
You can even do it in a koi pond!
As NightHawkInLight says, due to the water rising into the extended part of your tank, you might want to add some more so that the water level in the original tank remains the same. This will give your fish more room for all their fishy fun!
